Needle Felt Necklace |Dry Felting Art Lesson Description In this video we show you how to make a needle felt necklace. Dry felting is the process of meshing wool together with a barbed needle. To start we clump the wool together into a rough ball shape and poke or stab the wool with a needle. This meshes the wool together and you will start to feel the ball condense. Once the ball is created we felt and wrap wool thread around the ball. We do this 3 times with 3 different sizes and colours. Once completed we use the same technique to attach a felt cord. The materials used include wool tops, wool thread, felt cord, a dry felting needle and a high-density foam sponge. This is a fun and easy way to introduce dry felting skills to your students Lesson Plan: Dry Felted Jewellery Materials List: Dry Felting Needles 7’s Felting Foam 5x15x20cm 10’s Felt Cord 10m Crafting Combed Wool 100g White Crafting Combed Wool 100g Grey Acrylic Wool Asst 5’s Classic Neutral
