Links were made to the Unit of Inquiry, ‘Sharing the planet’, with reference to animals and their habitat

Students selected 4 coloured/textured fabric that related to their chosen animal’s habitat for the background, then sewed the lines on the sewing machine. Careful snipping occurred when cutting back into the layers to reveal selected colours and/or patterns. Their animal was drawn onto calico and painted with acrylic paints. Mountboard, thread, various fabric, calico, acrylic paint. (Approx. 35cmx30cm)
