In this unit students from year 3 – 6 used photography, photocopy, marker and fineliner to create their
self-line-portrait.

After discussion of the importance of pose in portraiture; students had their photo taken, edited the photo
to create a black and white image of themselves (adjusting brightness and contrast) and then began to
add their lines.

From there, students added line details to their picture that complemented their pose and expression. It
took the students over 4 weeks to create a mix of surreal and photographic art.
