Roa Inspired Artworks

Term: 1 Year: 2015

The Year 9 Art students at St Bede's College – Mentone were introduced to Belgium Street Artist ROA via the internet and YouTube. His work has been created throughout the world and usually on abandoned buildings. ROA generally paints incredibly detailed drawings of animals native to each country. It was his detailed work that inspired a drawing exercise that could be produced in a variety of techniques depending on the teacher’s experience. The rust effect was applied on foam core board using Langridge products to simulate a decaying building wall on which the animal drawing was attached.
