with Kylie Wickham
Suitable for: PRIMARY LEVELS
Session Times Available:
(AM) Morning session SOLD OUT!
(PM) Afternoon session SOLD OUT!
This workshop will improve your printmaking confidence by exploring and combining different printmaking technologies and processes. Using both lino cut and gel plates, participants will focus on colour, shape, line and form to explore ideas; combining both techniques into creating one work.
Gel Plate printing will enable you to explore colour and shape
with a transparent layering method that encourages ‘accidents’; whilst the lino cutting technique will focus on deliberate investigation of materials and a variety of outcomes.
This open-ended workshop is aimed at educators of upper primary and secondary school students.
The printmaking processes can be made as simple or complicated as the teacher and/or student desires. Join Kylie Wickham for this fun, high energy workshop; build on your printmaking skills and take new techniques back to your artroom!
About the Presenter
After finishing my Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Teaching I wasn’t sure what direction I wanted to head in. I knew I had one major passion and that was art. Over the next decade I spent most of my time travelling and working. I found myself working in galleries such as the NGV and the TATE London. But it was teaching where I really found my stride, working in Secondary Schools to begin with and then moving into Primary Education. Consulting with Zart has enabled me to work in adult education and create online workshops. Zart China has given me opportunities to produce workshops at an international level. Whether I am the student, the teacher or the artist I am passionate about art, art materials and art processes.
