Year 5 students from Patterson Lakes Primary School explored construction and modelling of a bird with Magiclay and decorated it with patterns that were influenced by Indigenous symbols or Zentangles.

Plans for the birds were drawn in their visual diaries and the shape of the bird was created by flattening Magiclay. It was a requirement that the bird was able to stand. The birds were then embellished.
