Year 3 and 4 students from Mentone Primary School created artworks inspired by Jon Cattapan.

They viewed images of Jon Cattapan’s cityscape paintings and discussed his style and techniques. Students explored how to use acrylic paint and the effects of to using water to dilute the paint. They tried a variety of brushes and used white pencils to draw a city scape over their painted background when it was dry.
