“I AM” Collage Book

“I Am” Collage Book explores the diverse range of aspirations and affirmations made by students at St. Paul’s College, Specialist School and brings with it joy, belief and hope for their futures. All students in the school participated in this project to create the “I Am” Collage Book. The book celebrates the strengths, interests and gifts of students as they see themselves presently and the future, and the way they see themselves affirm their unique places as valued and known members of this specialist school. Students who were capable of reading, cutting and pasting worked independently to create their collage and those students who required assistance from staff were given help in the form of choice making opportunities working in mixed media.

Mixed media art involves mixing different creative mediums to create work that incorporates two or more art forms. For example, you can add sculpture to your painting, or draw on top of photography prints. Mixed media is all about breaking the boundaries between different art forms.
