Contemporary Peace Dove

Materials

• Handmade Paper A4
• Cartridge Paper Circles
• String
• Glue Stick
• Scissors
• Hole Punch

Step 1. Fold a Cartridge Paper Circle in half; the folded edge is the top, and the semicircle is the base.

Step 2. Cut strips of Handmade Pattern Paper and glue each piece along the left edge of the semicircle, leaving a gap between each.

Step 3. Working your way across, apply and glue another layer of strips between the gaps of the first. Repeat this process until the body of the dove is covered. NB: Each layer of strips may be a different pattern or colour, or may remain the same.

Step 4. Neatly cut away any overhanging strips on the upper right edge of the semicircle, this will help make a defined head shape.

Step 5. Create additional features such as a beak, eyes and crest from paper and glue to the dove.

Step 6. To display, punch a hole on the top edge, then string through some yarn to hang.
