Contemporary Jewellery

Materials

Make your own contemporary jewellery to wow your loved ones this festive season.

Step 1. Decorate different colour pieces of Vinyl using Alcohol Inks, Posca Markers and EverZart Pens. Allow to dry.

Step 2. Cut out required shapes from the decorated Vinyl. You will need two of each shape to make two earrings. For more colours swap the spare Vinyl with a classmate. Shapes can be layered and glued together using Supertac.

Step 3. Use a pin (T-Pin or Push Pin) to pierce a hole 2mm from the edge of the shapes to connect them together with Jump Rings.

Step 4. Connect the shapes with Jump Rings.

TIP. To attach Jump Rings, hold the ring on one side of the separation with your fingers and with pliers grip and twist the ring on the other side of the separation. Do not pull apart as this will ruin the shape of the Jump Ring. Thread the two shapes onto the Jump Ring and close by twisting back with pliers.

Step 5. Attach Shepherd Hooks, or glue on Earring Posts & Studs to make earrings. Thread a Ball Chain through a Jump Ring for a necklace.
