Preps explored an alignment to their ‘How we express ourselves’ Unit of Inquiry through the related concepts of sharing and emotions, considering the symbolism used in contemporary indigenous art making to convey meaning

The students’ inquired into the element of colour as a vehicle for sharing emotions in response to the work of aboriginal artist Sally Gabori. Focused on the area of Painting, Preps expressed their own feelings about their homes through the process of colour mixing using a palette of only the primary colours and black and white.
