The year eight students spent several lessons practising calligraphic techniques and looking at how different brushes can make different marks.

After learning to paint flowers, bamboo, fish and roosters these designs were taken into the ceramic room.  Students were given a cast plate in greenware and used a variety of underglazes in blues such as Ming and Madonna blue to transfer their designs. These were then fired and glazed to get these terrific results.
