Birdlife

The students were introduced to the use of fibre and fabric in everyday life, including the use of natural fibres by Australia’s First Nation people and the skill of weaving. In combination with our students of local birdlife and animals, students created their woven birds. Kindergarten and Year 1 students added three special features to their birds; a beak, wing and eye. They collected sticks from the school grounds to incorporate a natural element to their artwork
