Australian Birds and Brushes (2D & 3D) An Online Workshop with Kylie Wickham Victorian Curriculum Levels: 3 – 8 In this unit we will be working in 2D and 3D projects using the motif Australian Birds! Using new ideas in a creative way; Australian Birds is the perfect theme as there are a great variety of shapes and colour – and they are also beautiful. Learn sculpting techniques, finger-painting skills and drawing with mixed media. Also learn how to make your own brushes for mark making play, and then how to further transform these ideas into a sculpture using plastering techniques. This unit is perfect for everyone. Lessons and techniques can be adapted easily to cater for different levels and skills. Use these techniques to explore other themes as well. This unit will help you build confidence with a variety of different mediums and materials, as well as becoming an awesome school display!
