Aussie Animal Baubles – Paper Forming

Materials

Inspired by Australian wildlife, these baubles will feel right at home on your Christmas tree. You can use old newspaper, Kraft Paper or any excess paper that you have on hand for the base. We used Kraft Paper StuckUps!

Step 1. Tightly scrunch up three sheets of Kraft Paper StuckUps (30 x 30cm) into a ball.

Step 2. Cut a 70cm length of Paper Form-It.

Step 3. Fold the Paper Form-It in half. Place the ball at the centre and wrap each side of the Paper Form-It around to the other side.

Step 4. Firmly cross the Paper Form-It over itself, like wrapping a present, then return it to the centre point. Cross the Paper Form-It on a slight angle and wrap it up around the ball again. Use the remaining Paper Form-It to make a hanger.

Step 5. Cut shapes from Beautex Paper to create the animal’s features, e.g. feathers, beak, nose, spikes, ears, etc. Use Supertac to glue the pieces in place.

Step 6. Push Joggle Eye Pins in place.
