Abstract Garden Sculptures

In the construction of these abstract garden sculptures, the students were encouraged to draw with line through
real space.

The construction of the sculpture grew as the students cut and joined bamboo and cane according to their design.
The line of the sculpture created space areas within these artworks allowing clay-relating shapes to be
included.  A painted base was completed to draw the viewer to the theme of the sculpture.

With all the different elements to be completed this was a terms project from sculpture investigation, design,
construction and it’s problem solving, clay items and finally to the painted base.
