    About this Live In-Person Workshop

    Are you new or returning to the art room this year? Get a head start by coming along to our Back to Basics Textiles Workshop!

    This workshop is the best starting point if you’re unsure or need to refresh your knowledge in the area of Textiles.

    Explore a range of different techniques and materials to help you create an exciting Textile program.

    The techniques and methods provided in this workshop will give you the confidence and skills to take back to your students and textiles program.

     

    In this live in-peson workshop, you will:

  • Create a felt needle book using a range of hand stitching techniques.
  • Experiment with fabric paints and markers to explore colour mixing.
  • Explore fabric printing using foam printing blocks.
  • Use iron-on decorative papers combined with hand-drawn fabric embellishments to create a unique piece.
  • Explore ideas and techniques suitable for levels ranging from year 2 – 10.
