Tangrams:
A Tangram is an ancient Chinese puzzle made up of geometric shapes called Tans. The object is to arrange the Tans to form other shapes which creates a silhouette of the object being represented E.g. house, plane, flower, dog, bird etc. The rules are simple: all pieces must be used, pieces must touch but not overlap. As the tan puzzle pieces are arranged and put together, students learn about shape and geometric terms, and develop problem solving and spatial awareness skills.

A Tangram Puzzle includes:
1x Square: A Square is a polygon with four equal sides and four right angles.
1x Parallelogram: A Parallelogram has four sides, two sets of equal sides and two sets of equal angles. This is the only tan that can be flipped to create reverse of itself.
5x Isosceles Triangles: There are 5 triangles in a Tangram Set. All are Isosceles triangles – with two sides of equal length and contain a right angle.
