Students in Years 5 & 6 at Footscray Primary School used their Visual Art Diary to draw different types of lines and from observations of various trees. Connections were made to the Japanese and Chinese culture – bonsais. They explored the properties of wire and how to manipulate it through the use of twisting, turning, bending etc to create a final wire tree sculpture.
