This piece is a combined creative effort.

Students solved construction problems whilst working with cardboard, tape and then paper mache.

We discussed body language and how people use their body to communicate.

As the Olympics were on we also discussed how the body is used in sports.

We used the Australian Aboriginal flag and related the symbolism of red-earth, black – the people and nations and yellow the sun. We discussed how flags around the world are symbols for a country and culture. We used the dots to relate our contemporary art piece to the influence of the past.
