This workshop will give you a thorough understanding of how to handle oil paint, mix colour, use materials correctly and create a safe studio practise.
Each participant will learn the technique of painting in 'Alla Prima" or first sketch and also get insight into maximising colour from a minimal palette.
The painting session will focus on tone and paint application.
The history of oil paint production will be covered and we will discuss the effect invention has had on art history.
This course will also introduce safe handling of materials and give you skills to make oil painting easy, quick and completely non toxic.
