Making an A4 drawing of a dimensional house in 2 Point perspective was an exciting challenge for Year 5/6 students as the year drew to a close.

As a class we watched a YouTube video demonstrating the steps involved in drawing the house. At each stage I paused it and drew what was being shown on the video onto the whiteboard to reinforce the steps being taught on the video. Further each student was provided with a task sheet and each step in logical sequence before they began the art activity. Students completed examples in their visual diaries before making their final A3 artwork on cartridge paper using pencil. To finish students added coloured pencil or a wash.
