Supermix Seascapes & Landscapes

Term: 1 Year: 2014

If they are beach oil pastels “Seascapes” the students worked from photographs taken around Port Phillip Bay and focussed on creating depth on a flat surface.

The emphasis was on colour, light and diminishng scale. A term was spent planning, drawing and mixing Supermix oil pastels to create the desired texture, colour and light.

Shadow was an important aspect of creating depth and the horizon line, foreground, middleground and background were important compositional aspects the girls had to consider.
