The theme that I explored in this work is character. I really wanted to include my love of drama and adopting a character
within my art work.

This has involved watching and asking others of my personality traits and then me taking them and finding comparisons
and parallels within other characters, both real and fictional.

The most interesting and somewhat confronting of these comparisons, was that between my cat Butch and myself. It is
a demanding and ever so slightly selfish animal which bullies our other two cats. My sister and my mother when angry
at me, refer to me as Butch. I decided to take this ‘humourous’ link and create a work in which we are compared and
contrasted.

I have completed a large ink, acrylic and watercolour piece for my final, and my other pieces are manily canvas using
acrylic and ink also.
