Zart Student Gallery

FAQ and Terms & Conditions

Submissions:

We accept submissions for our Zart Student Gallery from all Australian schools, for all ages, year levels and diversity of needs.
Submissions are open all year round.
To submit, a Gallery Submission Form must be completed by the representing school/teacher on behalf of student artists.
Schools can submit as many units of work as you like, but schools will be selected to display no more than 3 units of work per term exhibition. There is no limit on how often a school may exhibit, except at the gallery curators discretion (we try to keep a fair and balanced representation of all schools, levels, and states).
If you would like your student’s artwork to be considered for display, contact our Gallery curator Tania Di Berardino for more information or download a submission form today.

Submission forms should be emailed to tdiberardino@zartart.com.au

Selection Criteria:

Student Artwork is selected for exhibition based on available space and what we currently or recently have displayed. (Basically, as long as we have room for the artwork, and the work is not too similar to current/recent exhibitions).
Digital artworks may also be submitted where there are no physical artworks to be sent for display. These artworks can be displayed using our multimedia devices in the gallery space, as well as presented on our virtual gallery on the website as well.

If your submission is not successful this time though, please do not be discouraged! We invite you to send us as many artwork submissions as you like!

Submission Deadlines:

Submissions are accepted all year round, however each new exhibition is finalised around the middle of the term prior, so please ensure you have submitted your forms early if you wish to be considered for the next/upcoming term exhibition.

Successful Applicants:

If successful, you will be notified by email by our Gallery Curator, Tania Di Berardino, to advise. Included in this email will be further details about deadline dates for artwork delivery, student permissions, and gallery opening night event information.

To contact Tania directly, please email tdiberardino@zartart.com.au or call (03) 9890 1867.

Artwork Delivery:

If successful, you will be asked to ensure your artworks are delivered to Zart Art Student Gallery located upstairs at 4/41 Lexton Road, Box Hill North, VIC 3129. Exact delivery deadline dates will be provided in your acceptance email.

Artwork will remain on display in our Student Gallery until the exhibition closes at the end of term. After the exhibition closes, you will be contacted to arrange collection of your artwork from Zart within 4 weeks of the exhibition closing.

It is the responsibility of the participating school/teacher to arrange delivery and collection of your students artwork.
If you are unable to deliver artwork yourself or by courier, please contact Zart Education to discuss alternative options.

Permissions:

Student Artwork selected for our Student Gallery will appear on display in our gallery space at Zart in Box Hill, on our online Student Gallery on our website, as well as on our Social Media and some Products, Catalogues, and Publications.

As such, all artworks submitted for exhibition in our gallery require express permission of the student artist. It is the responsibility of the applying teacher/school to ensure permission is received prior to submission. For more information about student artist permissions and Zart’s use of student artwork images, please contact Tania at tdiberardino@zartart.com.au or call (03) 9890 1867.
