Star Portraits

Inspired by the “star portraits” dvd, students are to investigate a selected theme, collect sources for inspiration and develop ideas for their artwork. Using the design brief process, students will identify different artists who have represented the portrait in different historical and cultural contexts. Students will then consider their response after experimenting with a range of skills, techniques and processes using a variety of media and materials. Students had to also consider, the effect of changing perspective or viewpoint in an artwork in order to add impact or interest, and review the artwork  and the processes undertaken.
