Oz Clay Busts

Students in the art elective at Templestowe College were introduced to the work of sculptor Adrian Ward. They assembled armatures from prefabricated materials of a wood post and board, together with newspaper to create the base for a head sculpture.

Students were encouraged to create a 3 dimensional artwork, focusing on the elements of form and shape, and developing skills in hand building and modelling techniques. Students made appropriate choices regarding aesthetics when deciding to complete with bright Viponds paint or the Verdigris or Rust finish.
