About the Workshop

With a focus on the current challenges for non-Aboriginal teachers to respectfully address Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts content, we consider new supportive perspectives.

Join Michele Davies, an experienced and passionate advocate celebrating diversity, acknowledgement of ancestral knowledges, and Arts process.

Participants will be invited to experience arts practice through creative play to access new perspectives for engaged teaching and learning.
Through collective intuitive drawing and our own systemic cultural inquiry, you will access your energies to activate presence and productive practice in arts classrooms.

This workshop will support those in search of holistic education, creative potential, and wellbeing.
 
 


About the Presenter

Highly experienced Arts Educator and Consultant with a demonstrated history of working in Arts industry and education environments. Skilled in supporting Nonprofit Organisations, refined analytical Skills, Arts Education advocacy, state and national curriculum development and consultation. Focused interest on Arts education and practice projects fusing Art, Science and wellbeing.

Graduate studies in Linguistics, Arts methodologies for Language learning- Remote Aboriginal Community Practical Project from Deakin University.
Development and practice utilising Arts modalities for understanding language and culture supporting remote communities and teachers in Aboriginal schools; The Kimberly region W.A. and Darwin NT.
