Visual Thinking Strategies:
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art

with Carly Grace

Day 2 Session

Suitable for: ALL LEVELS

About the Workshop

Do you need help decoding Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Art?

Join experienced educator, Carly Grace, for this practical skills-based session exploring Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) looking at First Nations Art.
In VTS, the students (as audience) slow down and look carefully, talk about what they observe, and are encouraged to support their ideas with visual evidence.

Teachers will learn about how they can use enquiry based strategies, such as VTS, to build their students’ Critical and Creative Thinking skills, harness their students’ empathy and hear their students’ voices, opinions and ideas.
