Mixed-Media Dogs exploring Collage, Oil pastels, Indian Ink and Acrylic Paint

Students identified and discussed the facial features that give dogs a personal expression. In order to do so they painted a range of papers and ripped them out to create a background. After that they used oil pastel blending techniques to create the eyes and the nose on a separate sheet of paper. Then, students cut them out and stuck onto the background. Finally, they used Indian ink and acrylic paint to add fur and other details.
