Margaret Preston Lino Prints

Term: 4 Year: 2012

Year eight students looked at Margaret Preston and oriental art as an influence for these lino prints.

The students spent several lessons looking and drawing designs of kangaroo paws and other Australian flowers as a starting point.

They then traced their drawings on to the silk cut lino and carved out their designs.
When the carving process was completed the students made collages of oriental papers and printed on to this.

As you can see from these images, they were very successful.
