Lazertran Transfer Paper

Before You Begin
Make sure you are using the correct type of Lazertran product for your printing device. Using the wrong Lazertran in the wrong machine can cause damage to your machine.

Preparation: Lazertran Transfer Paper
Step One
Inkjet print images on to the Lazertan Inkjet paper.
Step Two
Cut out your images as close to the edge of the artwork as possible.
Step Three
Place Lazertran into a container of water face down. Lazertran is ready when the backing starts to slide away from the image. This usually takes 1-2 minutes.
Step Four
Gently blot excess water off the Lazertran using paper towel.
Non-Absorbent Surfaces: Transfer onto Metal
Step One
For non-absorbent shiny surfaces, no glue other than the gum on the back of the transfer is required. Place Lazertran on the surface and slide the back from under the image. Smooth out the surface carefully to remove any air bubbles. Leave to dry.
Difficult Surfaces: Transfer onto Paper, Wood, Wax, Stone, Plaster & PVC

Option A: Binder Medium

Step One
Apply Atelier Binder Medium to seal the surface.
Step Two
Place Lazertran on the surface and slide the back from under the image. Allow to dry.
NB: Lazertran can be sealed with an acrylic gloss – however this is not required.

Option B: Pure Gum Turpentine

Step One
Apply Pure Gum Turpentine generously to the surface.

Step Two
Place Lazertran on the surface and slide the back from under the image.

Step Three
Dab Pure Gum Turpentine gently over the image, making sure not to brush the artwork as it will bleed.

Step Four
Leave to dry.
