Read the story Patterns of Australia by Bronwyn Bancroft to the year 3 and 4 students.

This then lead on to a discussion on Pattern, Line and colour, in particular how Bronwyn
uses these
elements of art in her colourful illustrations.

The students used oil pastels and Ocaldo Paints to create the vibrant colours in their own works of art
based on Bronwyn’s style. The art work was laminated and displayed in the school foyer for all
visitors to the school to admire.
