Ice Cream Sculptures

Term: 4 Year: 2016

Year 3 and 4 students from Albert Park Primary School created Ice Cream Sculptures. They learnt to mask geometric shapes onto a terracotta pot, using pictures as inspiration for the shapes and patterns used.

Students identified different areas where there would be light and shade on a textured cone and used geometric shapes as inspiration to construct the base of an ice cream.

They learnt how to refine the base shape to achieve better detail in a sculpture while choosing a variety of materials in order to decorate the ice cream for visual appeal and authenticity.
