Gold Lamé Reindeer

Materials

This cost-effective yet fun character will add some bling to your Christmas festivities.

Step 1. Cut an A4 sheet of Metallic Felt into four A6 size rectangles.

Step 2. Fold one A6 piece length wise – so that the long side has the folded edge.

Step 3. Measure out 11cm along the folded edge. Cut an 11cm semicircle out of the Felt – ensuring that the folded side is the straight edge of the semicircle.

Step 4. Cut a 1.5cm smaller semicircle from inside the first shape, keeping the fold intact. The solid semicircle will be the reindeer’s body, while the thin horseshoe shapes will be its legs.

Step 5. Cut the ‘legs’ along the fold so that you have two horseshoe pieces.

Step 6. Cut the reindeer’s head from the remaining corner of the folded Felt – approx 3.5cm long x 2.5cm high.

Step 7. Staple the centre of the legs to the inside of the body. Staple the head to one of the top corners of the body.

Step 8. Cut a tail from the Felt scraps and staple it to the reindeer.

Step 9. Fold a 15cm Chenille Stem in half. Bend each side to form into antlers.

Step 10. Make a small cut into the fold on the reindeer’s head and insert the antlers.

NB. Staplers are required to be shared for this activity.
