Year 2 students from Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School created exotic birds from Oz Clay after being inspired by the Disney animation ‘Rio’. They created sketches in their Art journals before experimenting with and then building their birds from clay. Students painted their sculptures with Shimmer and Fluro paints before they were glossed with Modpodge or Zart Gloss. Further embellishments were added to the birds with beads, feathers and chenille steams.
