After studying the works of various Expressionist artists, students photographed their own portraits reflecting a variety of emotions.

Their chosen image was then transferred onto a piece of acetate using a dry point to produce rapid, expressive strokes. The image was then inked and printed onto textured watercolour paper using the printing press. The variation in line weight and shape reinforces the emotion the student wanted to express.
