Botanical Birds

The Year 7 students from Sacre Coeur in Glen Iris, researched Botanical Drawings and a variety of images of birds, before embarking on their individual designs.

The students were asked to create a detailed drawing that incorporated both a bird and flowers in the design, using water colour paint and a variety of pens and coloured pencils.

The initial designs were then photocopied and the students were asked to expand their designs by using a variety of collage materials to create a second piece.

The results of both projects were amazing, demonstrating a high level of creativity and innovative use of collage materials.
