Ant’s eye view of a Garden

Term: 4 Year: 2013

The students were asked to create a representation of an ant’s eye view of a garden, using the art element line, to create: shape, tone, texture, form and pattern.

The students also explored the principle of space on a two-dimensional surface and needed to consider the foreground, middle ground and background, as well as other devices such as overlapping, scale and level of detail.

The students completed their drawings using a range of fineliners and investigated various techniques such as hatching, cross hatching, stippling and scribbled lines to help achieve a number of effects.
