Through the Looking Glass: Assemblages

Alice goes through a number of absurd physical changes in Lewis Carroll’s narrative Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

A variety of mediums and mixed media have been used in the artworks to imitate these changes such as, collage and assemblages using acrylic paint, inks and glaze on card and watercolour paper. Students have been involved in each step of the art making process; the art lessons, activities and approaches – all the while taking in to account significant differences amongst students in terms of their ability and interests.
