Steampunk Machine Plates

Students investigated old technologies/machines. They investigated steampunk and came up with definitions. Students then used recyclable materials to create part of a machine. Painted with Burnt Umber, Red Oxide and Rub and Buff. Their task was to imagine you are living 200 years in the future and come across an old machine. You open a side panel of the machine. What do you see? Central idea was technologies from the 19th century is a source of inspiration for artists.
