Abstract Still Life Paintings

Students were asked to choose a still life object to paint taking into consideration harmonious and complimentary colour schemes, foreground, middle ground, background and creating a shadow. In their visual diaries, students researched still life objects, paying attention to the work of Matisse and how he painted still life objects. Next, students did a brainstorm of all the objects suitable for a Still Life. Finally, three different images of students Still Life Objects were found.
