Tint & Shade Whimsical Winter Fox Paintings

Term: 1 Year: 2020

Painting

The prep children mixed tints and shades of blue: adding black or white paint to blue acrylic school paint. They then made circles beginning in the middle with white and blending out to make it darker and darker, first adding white to blue until they got to a straight blue hue and then added black to blue. This was to look like a full moon.

They mixed colours with white to look like snow at the bottom – using a straight horizon line.

They then followed a directed line drawing of a fox on brown paper and painted in dry poster paints.
