Pinata colours are highly saturated, fast-drying alcohol inks. Suitable for Yupo paper, glass, metal, plastic, ceramic, stone, leather, polymer clay, wood, canvas, acetate, tracing paper and bleedproof paper. Impermeable to water once dry, Pinata inks can be cleaned up and reactivated with isopropyl alcohol, allowing for unique effects and techniques not easily achieved with water-based products. Try the Pinata Clean-Up Solution and Clear Extender to experiment with these effects. Acid-free with excellent adhesive properties, Pinata colours are unparalleled for vibrancy and lightfastness. Please note that metallic colours and white are opaque; all other colours are translucent. This pack includes 9 Pinata colours: Sunbright Yellow, Calabaza Orange, Senorita Magenta, Baja Blue, Rainforest Green, Passion Purple, Blanco (White), Mantilla Black, and Rich Gold.

To provide your students with scope and freedom to experiment with the inks, we recommend  starting off with bleedproof paper which is the most cost effective surface option. NB: Bleedproof, Yupo and mineral paper all produce different results when used with Inks.

Drop: Inks can be dropped onto bleedproof paper, mineral paper or Yupo paper. Add layers of ink while wet for interesting mixing results.

Layering: To avoid inks mixing and changing colours, allow the first layer to dry before adding additional colours.

White/Gold/Silver Ink: These pigments interact with other colours. It is best to use them on top of wet colours.

Rubbing Alcohol: Rubbing alcohol can be dropped onto inks or misted on using a spray mister. This will dilute and reactivate dried inks.

Extender A: The Extender can be dropped onto bleedproof paper, mineral paper or Yupo paper prior to dropping on coloured inks. This will allow inks to layer and sit on different levels.

Extender B: The extender can also be applied to inks already on your surface.
