Professional Development Programme

Zart is committed to supporting teachers in creative education. We have developed a programme of teacher workshops that focus on our core business, raising students’ outcomes in the Visual Arts.
Our VELS workshops will support teachers with planning and assessing. Trolley Art will interest schools that have had their art programmes interrupted due to construction works and/or for teachers who want to provide quality art lessons in their classrooms.
Zart has responded to the many requests and questions received surrounding Outside Art Projects by offering a workshop titled "Uniting Your Community and School’s Art Culture". Celebrate visual arts with the whole school community to raise the profile of art at your school.

Book Week - Across the Story Bridge August 21st - 27th 2010

Zart Education is celebrating Book Week again this year and the theme, Across the Story Bridge, focuses on the importance of bridges in bringing people and things together. It raises our awareness of how reading a book is like crossing a bridge into the mind of another person i.e. the author. The team at Zart Education has created a fun, fresh and innovative workshop programme that will support Art teachers, classroom teachers and librarians in fostering the love of Australian Literature in our students. In addition we will release a publication, Across the Story Bridge, to celebrate Book Week this year. Available to purchase through Zart Art.

The Centipede Challenge

In light of one of the short listed books for 2010, Schumann the Shoeman, a number of schools were involved in our Centipede Challenge. Click here to see what they came up with!

Zart Art celebrates - The International Year of Rapprochement (Cultures & Communities)

During 2010 we have the opportunity to celebrate two themes in our Visual Art, Library and classroom programmes. They are The International Year of Rapprochement and the 2010 Commonwealth Games in October hosted by India – both celebrating cultural diversity. Zart Art will be conducting a workshop on each to provide teachers with a programme to explore these two topics through the visual arts.
