This extraordinary exhibition, highlighting the wealth and prosperity of the Edo and Meiji periods (1850-1900), is showing exclusively at the Immigration Museum. Direct from the Osaka Museum of History, the stunning collection celebrates the Immigration Museum’s 10th birthday and 30 years of the Melbourne-Osaka sister-city relationship. A tour of this amazing and inspiring exhibition Kimono: Osaka’s Golden Age will be the beginning of a morning of enlightenment and fun. Join Tania in her enthusiasm for textile art and discover what possibilities there are in simple techniques.

Following a guided tour of the exhibition Hinterlands Albert Tucker’s landscapes 1960 -1975, Tania will take you on a walk of the gardens surrounding the galleries and use this as inspiration for creating 2 and 3 dimensional works of art using a combination of natural and man-made tools and media. Participants are asked to bring their own digital camera, wear sensible clothing and foot wear for walking and collecting found objects of nature.
