The Olympic Games is the biggest sporting competition on Earth. The Beijing Olympics is expected to attract four billion T.V. viewers and 10,500 participants, making it one of the most watched events in modern times. The Olympics also provides an opportunity for the host country to exhibit its history and culture. The purpose of these workshops is not to copy what the Olympic artists and designers have created, but to draw upon their creative processes and historical sources to inspire teachers/students to create their own Chinese style of visual designs to celebrate the Beijing Olympics. Levels 1 – 4.
