Each year Zart Education offers the “Back to Basics” program to Primary Teachers who are teaching art for the first time. Classroom teachers would also find these practical hands on sessions, which focus on specific areas of art (e.g. drawing, painting, and printing) of benefit, in light of the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS). Time will also be given to art room practice such as budgeting, room organization and program planning. This programme runs over 3 days at Zart Art in Box Hill.
The workshop costs $350.00, which includes a Back to Basics Booklet, morning tea, materials, a free copy of “I Can Draw” by Kate Hart (valued at $38.50), and a light lunch each day.
