Description

Jane, an experienced art teacher, will share her clay making ideas that have been successful and developed her students’ interest in working with this fabulous medium. Be inspired using a range of techniques and mediums developing your skills and those of your students, create challenging activities using a range of simple ideas, materials and techniques. Participants will work with earthenware and paper clay to create wonderful 2D and 3D ceramic pieces. Making slabs and exploring the many uses of them and creating textures from a range of objects. Bring your favourite old patterned and textured buttons to create your own Sprigs to further decorate your work. Create shapes and figures to include into a community mosaic project. Jane will give you all the tricks of how to plan for sequential learning, fail proof firing schedules, easy glazing with short cuts and kiln management.
