Printmaking with Solar Plates

Learn how to use the Solar Plates to produce original designs. Using water based artist quality inks, prints can be reproduced, printed as etchings or intaglio prints through a basic roller press. Be confident in using the plates and find out how to make a UV test strip, discover what are the preferred drawing or painting materials to use on to the acetate to help achieve the best print on to the plate. Work with quality printing papers to achieve the finest print results.

Zart Education can come out to your school to present one of our workshop modules at a time that suits you. Cathy Price is available to present 3 different modules that focus on your curriculum related to VELS. Tania Di Berardino will work with you and your staff with hands-on Art and Craft technique workshops (see below). Please ring Jan on 03 9890 1867 for conditions and costs associated with each module and to arrange a date and time that best suits. Available for Metropolitan Melbourne and Geelong schools only unless a suitable arrangement can be negotiated for country Victorian schools. Workshops approximately 1–2 hour duration.
